Ram Nath Kovind, wins Presidential election with whooping 65.65 votes
NEW DELHI: Mr.Ram Nath Kovind, the NDA's candidate for President, will soon take oath as the 14th President of India. In the recent presidential election he defeated joint opposition candidate Meira Kumar obtained who lags far behind with a mere 34.35 percent against 65.65 percent of votes of Kovind from the electoral college.
Kovind got votes from 522 Members of Parliament while Kumar bagged the votes of 225 MPs. A total of 771 elected MPs were eligible to cast their ballot in the presidential election.
